I consider myself a selfless, honest, woman of integrity, with an expansive thirst for knowledge and a passion for getting to know people. I hold personal relationships very near and dear to my heart. I hope to make a difference in the world by sharing my enthusiasm for life as an inspiration to others, often challenging them to be the best that they can be.I am a realist! I am NOT a fan of mediocrity, nor what could have, should have, or would have been. I am simply an acceptor of what ‘is’. I am a firm believer that we are the authors of our own life story. I pursue knowledge and matters of the heart with purpose and passion. With a vast array of life experiences, my intent in writing is to encourage you, inspire you, challenge you, possibly push your buttons, hold your hand, or kick your butt in essence to broaden your comfort zone, and ultimately to promote growth and understanding amongst all human kind.
I believe in freedom of speech, and am therefore open to voicing my opinion on controversial subject matter including addictions, bullying, domestic violence, parenting, politics, sexuality, sports, systems (education, medical, justice), relationships, religion, or traffic roundabouts. I acknowledge that I may write things that you may not agree with . . . and remind you that where there’s a will, there’s a way ~ but it needn’t always be your way (nor mine)! A wise woman taught me that "disagreement does not equal rejection." Ultimately we must all determine the path in life that works for us. If you truly believe in yourself, what others think won’t matter.
So often I experience the persecution of people by their peers simply due to a different experience, belief, value, or ideal. I believe that every situation can be seen through different glasses or points of view, and feel it is important that the vision you have is one that will create value in all things. I wear the glasses of compassion and empathy on a daily basis, and believe in the benefit of healing our bodies, minds, and spirits. I believe that we as human kind are ALL ONE and that each of us holds basic common needs of love and respect for where we are and where we’ve been. I love people! I am a strong advocate for children, peace, love and joy ~ and will proactively step in and take action, if and when my instincts urge me to. I love life and welcome the dawn of each new day with the opportunity to learn and grow, and to experience and touch the hearts of others.
