Hands down, parenting is the toughest job I've ever held and on the flip side, definitely the most rewarding. Just when I think I've got a handle on my role as a mom, yepper, you guessed it, another phase in childhood or teenage years. I consider those phases an opportunity! An opportunity for me as a mom to grow and learn, thanks kids! Parenting definitely leaves little to the imagination. I often joke that I've developed multiple personalities with which to better relate to each child. I believe . . . that the way a child feels loved is based on your ability to relate to and understand them (hence my extra personalities).
To my fabulous trio, whom I love to the stars and back . . . for all those funny and crazy little quirks (they think) I have, consider them a gift. I remind you . . . Mirror, mirror on the wall - you are your mother after all.
A few of my favorite Mother's Day inspired quotes:
Cheers to my Mother, Grandmother's, and ALL the Mother's I know - what better reward than the gift of children and the ability to watch your heart walk around outside your body.
